Before you request a quote from a freight forwarding agent, ensure that your vehicle is:

• In good running condition.

• Is clean from debris, mud, snow etcetera.

• Completely empty; no personal items or extra parts are allowed in the car.

• Is no more than 1/8 tank of gas in the car (near to empty tank).

• Is free from any liens; the car must be fully paid before exporting.

Apart from this, you must provide a set of keys for the vehicle to the forwarding agent.

To request a quote, you will need the following information:

• the year, make, model and measurements (L x W x H) of the vehicle.

• the weight of the car/motorcycle.

• the original title of the vehicle and bill of sale.

• value of the vehicle in CAD/US dollars and confirmation on whether you want insurance or not as freight forwarders have limits of liability in case of damage or loss.

• name, mailing address and phone number of the shipper in Canada.

• name, mailing address, phone number and email address of the consignee overseas at destination.

• copy of the shipper’s passport.
