Overview of Services
Sending personal effects to Sri Lanka has never been more accessible and cost effective. We understand how important it is to you that your shipment arrive safely so we take time and care prepping your boxes for their voyage. That is why KMR offers a variety of options in getting your goods safely across the ocean with peace of mind.
With both door-to-door and port-to-port services to Colombo, Batti and Kandy, our team of experts will provide comprehensive estimates for all your personal effects on site to recommend the most cost-effective packing and shipping solution for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide boxes or on-site packing?
KMR Global does not currently offer these services. However, you can purchase boxes from your nearest Home Depot or Storage facility.
How long will it take for my box to arrive?
Typically it takes about 2-3 months for the box to arrive from the shipment date. This is not only because ocean freight is a longer transit time, but international port delays variety greatly. Our team will send you a notification two weeks prior to the vessels arrival in Sri Lanka.
What does my payment cover?
Your payment covers the freight charges from Canada to Sri Lanka. It does not cover any customs charges that may be incurred at the Sri Lankan port.

What if I cannot drop off the box at your warehouse?
KMR offers pick up services through out the Greater Vancouver area for additional charges. First you will need to call our office to book a pick-up time with our team.
Please keep in mind that there are two pick up options and both require the box to be on a ground level floor (no steps or stairs). If the box is 70 lbs or less, than you can select a one person pick up. If the box is 70 lbs to 100lbs, than you must select a two person pick up for an additional cost. Boxes over 100lbs cannot be picked up by our team.
Please keep in mind that our driver's have the right to refuse pick up based upon the weight or steps as this is keep our team and your goods safe. If a pick up is refused due to any of the above reasons this may result in being charged the cost of pick up.
What size of a box can I send?
We only accept 5 or 6 cubic foot boxes which cannot exceed more than 100lbs if you request door delivery. If you decide to drop the box off at our warehouse then the maximum weight is 200lbs. We cannot accept any box that exceeds that weight. Keep in mind we charge per cubic foot so the smaller the box the more you save.
The calculation for cubic feet is:
length(inches) × width(inches) × height(inches)
1728
= cubic feet(cf³)

KMR Sri Lanka Freight Charges

Kindly note that we only accept 5cf to 6cf boxes. KMR Global team members reserve the right to refuse pick up or drop off due to poor packaging, over the weight limit (100 lbs+), or the box not being located on the ground level. Refusal of services, or misinformation provided, could result in extra charges. Kindly note that prices are subject to change at anytime.

Drop off at KMR Global Warehouse
Drop off at KMR 120lbs or less = $21.00 per CF
Drop off at KMR 120lbs+ = $21.00 per CF + $0.50 per additional lbs
*Note: Maximum of 200lbs per box
Door Pick Up in Greater Vancouver Area
Door Pick Up Less than 70lbs = $25.00 per CF
Door Pick Up 70lbs - 100lbs = $25.00 per CF + $70.00 flat charge
Door Delivery in Sri Lanka = $150.00 per box
*Note: Maximum of 100lbs per box for this service
